Call for Artists

 Call for artists living and working in Bulgaria, Ukraine and Romania
📢 Deadline: 30 August 2020

The NeoNlitic project is an international exhibition dedicated to works inspired by the aesthetic motifs of Neolithic cultures: Hamangia and Cucuteni - Trypillia.

The applicants must be over 18 years of age.
There is no fee necessary if you are accepted as a participant in this project.

The application must include the following information:
• Artwork descriptions that you will create for NeoNlitic (maximum 3 artworks)
• Your portfolio in English
• Your CV in English

The artists will be provided the following:
>> Exposure in the NeoNlitic project
>> Online and offline promotion
>> Participation in three exhibitions (Romania, Bulgaria and Ukraine)
>> Transportation of the artworks before each exhibition
>> Accommodation for 1 – 2 nights during the exhibition in Bucharest

International Jury: Mihaela Ion (RO) curator, Anca Spiridon (RO) cultural PR, Daniel Loagar (RO) artist, Ina Valentinova (BG) artist, Evghenia Gritscu (UKR) artist, Andrei Cornea (RO) artist.

About NeoNlitic:

In 2018, the artistic project NeoNlitic, that brought together 12 national and international artists, was curated in 4 cities in Romania: in Bucharest at Institutul Cultural Român / Romanian Cultural Institute, in Brasov at Visssual, in Timisoara at Casa Artelor - Directia Judeteana pentru Cultura Timis, in Buzau at Muzeul Judetean Buzau • Buzau County Museum.

In 2020, with the fundings from AFCN, NeoNlitic will be held in 3 countries: Bulgaria, Ukraine and Romania. Details regarding the locations TBA.
