Lucrarea parafrazează celebra frază a lui Magritte, deplasând negaţia de la obiect la acuzaţia de plagiat. Neonul roz, decupat pe contur, devine o auto-apărare luminoasă: o piesă care îşi neagă din start orice derivare, dezvăluind fragilitatea criteriului de originalitate în epoca copierii infinite şi a inteligenţei artificiale. Obiectul pluteşte pe perete, transformând ironia lingvistică în volum palpabil.

The piece echoes Magritte’s famous sentence but shifts negation from the object to the charge of plagiarism. Cut-out pink neon becomes a luminous self-defence: an artwork that denies any derivation in advance, exposing the fragility of originality in an age of endless copying and AI production. Floating off the wall, the object turns linguistic irony into tangible volume and invites viewers to reconsider authorship, citation, and cultural memory.
2. „I Sink – Therefore I Am”

Într-o inversiune a cogito-ului cartezian, existenţa nu mai este garantată de gând, ci de scufundare. Mâna albă care apare din valul cyan semnalează simultan disperare şi autoafirmare. Lucrarea traduce anxietatea contemporană – ecologică şi psihologică – într-un semn minimalist de lumină. Neonul monocrom evocă lumina de avarie: un SOS permanent care întreabă dacă supravieţuirea poate constitui noul fundament al identităţii.

A Cartesian cogito reversed: existence is no longer proved by thought but by sinking. The warm-white hand emerging from a cyan wave signals both distress and self-assertion. The work translates contemporary anxiety—ecological and psychological—into a minimalist light sign. Its single-colour glow resembles an emergency beacon, a permanent SOS that asks whether mere survival has become the new foundation of identity in an increasingly precarious world.
